Thanks. There does look to be a certain 'Evo factor' there.
Tempting maybe both ways depending on folk's knowledge and general thoughts about Evo. Personally I think they look reasonable ( not knowing anything more than the ranking info about Grant ) and wouldn't have touched that either way.
Bit surprised if there was a big weight of money on Grant, but maybe a core of real Evo doubters went for it. Maybe it's a rather surprising to some amount of backing for Grant and the scale of the loss that has brought questions ( maybe helped prompted by some Evo backers ), but it really isn't a massive shock. When losing, Evo has just gone absolutely missing in futures before.
I really majorly doubt that there is anything sinister here.

Nice wins for both Mr Smethurst and Mr Milton - especially Mr Smethurst.
In re: Mr Evans, I'm not a betting person. But were I suddenly to change my views and predilections, the last thing I would do would be to bet on anything involving Mr Evans ... not because of a fear of cheating or match-fixing, but because at least historically, he is a player capable of everything from top-50 to sub-500 play on any given day.
Ed has only taken 4 out of 19 break points and lost to the French lad, who CourtCrazy said was talented when he saw him last week.
He's more than talented. He's been predicted to be top 10/top 20 by some serious coaches. One of the British coaches I talked to recently said he saw him play a couple of months ago and thought he was the best prospect he'd seen in years. Personally, whenever I saw Halys, he's been completely up and down, but that's been mostly a year or two ago and he's growing up fast so probably changing a lot.
Yes, clearly Halys is very talented, if it would appear still rather inconsistent and unpredictable. I suspect that the hugely fluctuating scoreline was much more about him than Ed, and it certainly wasn't a great draw for the top seed. Clearly had his chances though.
