There was a long delay between sets, I assume Alison went for a break to gather her thoughts.

The match was suspended for rain at 6-3 *3-4 15-15

So pleased for Heather. Been a long road back after her illness in 2013 and now she is definetly at her best.

What good news to wake up to, into her 2nd WTA singles final (up to about WR 43 now, another win would take her into the top 40)

Very nice, and a good chance in the final. She really should have closed it out before the rain but she got massively tight at *5-4 40-15. Fortunately after doing the hard work Alison (who I have a big soft spot for) did the complete opposite of what she should have been doing and handed Heather the break right back, and our girl made no mistake.

Really well done.
