Still hoping to sneak first place, but looking doubtful now!
Oh yea of little faith!
Final results are in, and with Dan Evans edging ahead of Bryan Klein in the final week, Floody78 nips to the topof the table, and so is this year's champion one point ahead of Forbesman with Tommymac and SMC1809 in joint third another point behind.
I can understand putting the players in order for GB rankings and also world rankings but on the link below no matter how long I look at it I cant work out how the scoring system works and how can paulisi and kundalini have the same end points when their rankings are so different.

Never really studied the rules. Just make up my numbers and hope for the best. But looking at the scoring, I would guess you score points for the following:
1) Comparison with GB ranking - if you put a player down as GB Nş 4 and he finishes GB Nş4 you get five points. If he finishes elsewhere you take the difference off the max of 5 points. eg if you put James Ward down as GB Nş 2 and he finishes GB Nş 4, the difference is 2 places. Take that 2 away from the max 5 points and you score 3.
2) Comparison with WR. These seem to be done on %age of differences. i.e. if our prediction is within 5% of the actual ranking you score 5 points. If you are out by between 5% and 10% you score 4 points. Between 10% and 15% 3 points etc. If you are out by more than 25% you score nothing.
As I have said, I don't know for sure that this is the exact structure but it seems to be something like this. I am sure Sim, or somebody else can give you a more exact explanation.
I already seem to have shot myself in the foot re Andy for next year. I have put him at WR Nş1, more in hope than expectation. So if he finishes at WR 2, which in all honesty is more likely, I am out by 100% and score nothing whereas those who have put him at WR 2 score the maximum 5 points. But I like to think positively.
Yes, think that's essentially it Bob for the scoring re the GB and world rankings. But I am sure Sim can confirm this and any other tweeks. I know bonuses for getting WR spot on were mentioned at one time, but I don't know if implemented.
Yes, I had noticed that if Andy ended in the top 3 places in the WRs that it was a sort of all or nothing re his WR points since folk would have to be spot on to get within 25%.
As in the past I am sure there is no problem with anyone changing their thoughts before kick-off ( presumably the start of Week 1 ? ).

ok thanks Bob. it does seem a bit complicated so probably best like you say to go with your picks and hope for the best.
