Well, it's all over the Daily Mail now, Bob, so it MUST be true :)
And, frankly, if true, is completely out of order by Mirka and 'something' should be done. As somebody said, if that were two women playing, and one girl's husband was making off-putting/rude comments from the box, there would be uproar.
And, even leaving aside the 'cry baby' taunts, the Swiss Davis Cup captain's actions may well leave something to be desired too . . .
I get the impression that Jules Marie has been been someone to gain some of the most benefit from the Masters.
He's been the official sparring partner, doing about 4-5 hours a day, at the O2, at Queens etc. He says Roger's cool, a joker, just doing classic stuff. The Bryans just bombarded him with balls, not allowing him to stop to get a drink of water :) Kei was a little wierd, a whole training session and he didn't say a word - not to Jules, not to his coaches, Stan was fine, and the other doubles players too . . . all good, interesting stuff really.
Have any young Brits been involved as hitting partners this week ? It would be a great chance to gain some experience. I know Fitzy did that job for a couple of years.
From what I read, Jules was chosen by Technifibre, who are the sponsor, and who also sponsor Jules - although I guess they sponsor others too.
But, yes, like you, it'd have been nice for any of the GB players to be involved - after all, not sure if Jules was the only one hitting partner, but it'd make sense (to me) to have several. And players like Ed, or Tom F, or even Ash, would be perfect - as Jules says, the top 8 are never playing at 100%, they just want solid, clean, consistent balls to hit.
I believe Joe Salisbury was doing warm up duties during the week.

I think it's probably fair to say that Mirka is one women that you wouldn't pick a fight with.
This has probably been mentioned somewhere but Andy's recent post on Facebook about the IPTL suggests that it's going ahead as planned. I thought that that might be the change in his off-season, personally.
Apparently Andy's "commitment" to the IPTL is just 3 days if I understood something he was saying correctly.
But still this is a guy who couldn't ( / wouldn't ) take time out to personally attend his SPOTY coronation last year, a decision I understood, knowing the importance of his Florida training camp. So even then, I do think he could have been doing without this nonsense.
He talked at the same time of changing his off season plans given how far off the pace he still thought he was. But he indicated that was with regard to not taking as long a complete break as he normally does.
