It's a shame that I won't be seeing him on the Monday, but if I was watching him and he lost it would probably ruin my day!

Avoided Nole, but has to play the more in form lower ranked players, would hope for Semis.

Given that Djokovic and Berdych are the two players I always dread to see him face, I'm pretty happy with the draw.

Andy couldn't be drawn with Berdych as they were the 5th and 6th seeds.

He could get Djokovic or Federer, Wawrinka or Nishikori, and Raonic or Cilic.

I certainly prefer Fed, but my preference for the other two on form ( and possible fitness ) was Wawrinka and Cilic. Might be OK though.

Andy does say some odd things sometimes (wouldn't we all, if we were constantly asked variations on the same theme by the media!) but this from the BBC site http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/29967336 takes the biscuit:

"However, the decision to commit to a punishing schedule of six consecutive weeks after the US Open saw Murray get back to winning ways.

"It was my idea," said Murray.

"I said to [coaches] Dani [Vallverdu] and Amelie [Mauresmo] after New York that I wanted to play tournaments, I wanted to try and play matches, and get back to winning matches.

"I told them I don't care if it's on the Futures [Tour], the Challengers, I want to get back to winning tournaments and having that feeling again."

confusebiggrin

... though I suppose when he was outside the top 10 at WR 11, he could have asked for a Challenger wild card if the ATP 250/500 events hadn't had any left to offer.

But hands it right back with three UEs and a double fault.

Standard is really poor at the moment.

Up there with one of the most passive sets he's played this year. Not one sign of aggression, nada.

Terrible set. Nishikori bad, Murray worse.

Five games in a row for Nishikori now. This is so one-sided.
