RE: Week 43 - Great Britain F17 ($15,000) - Manchester (Hard)

Torebko beaten by a qualifier. Great opportunity for Josh or Scott awaits, Josh leaeds that one 3-0* in the decider.

Marzi is in a final set, *3-3, Lootsma has banged down 20 aces in that to date.

Toby was a set and a break down but its *1-2 now.

Ashley H is a break down.

Brits are 1-5 v non-Brits so far today (just Josh beating a slightly higher-ranked seed), with 4 more coming through in all-GB matches, the top seed out in the all-GER match and 5 R1 matches in progress or still to play.

For some reason, Luke's match is not on my Livescore feed whereas previous matches from the same court are showing. Any one else have the same problem, or an explanation ?

Same problem re Luke's match.

Meanwhile, Peter has won the battle of the Ashleys 7-6(0) 6-2, defeating a player ranked 994 places above him and improving his career best scalp from 1212 to 566 in one fell swoop!

Not looking good in the remaining matches with Andy B, and Tom all a set down. But Dave R has just saved (at least) 2 set points and has now taken the 1st breaker 8-6.

Dan C withdrew from the doubles, so I would assume he has an injury(based on his singles scoreline)

Yes, he's obviously had injury problems these past few months, which is a shame. The three Dans seem to have been stricken down . . .

Mind you, Misters Farmer and Hingley are now in the QF of a 15k (Elliott only age 16), which is a 'sort' of achievement :)

Dave making heavy weather of finishing off Rosenzweig - he had a chance to break for the match but is now bp down (not for the first time) in a very long game as he serves for it.

Harry Meehan @HarryMeehan 4h4 hours ago

It saddens me to announce I'm finished playing tennis. Thanks everyone, it's been fun x

Seems like Cannes didn't work out - a shame . . .
