Milton v Sikora & Cox v Bossel look the pick of the first round matches.

That's a very tough European contingent.

Lets hope that Grigelis doesn't do as well as in this run of tournaments as he did last year.

One thing's for sure - one of the matches will see Ashley emerge as the winner...smile

I think there are question marks against all the seeds bar Grigelis.

Torebko - clay courter, poor at Wirral
Marie - clay courter
Cipolla - clay courter
Rice - out of form
Cox - out of form
Cagnina - clay courter
Sikora - clay courter

Grigelis should win.

Grigelis has won very few matches, though, in the past few months - including losing to Richard Gabb on hard in August.

Just trying to put him off his stride . . .

Poor starts for a couple of the brits - Dan Cox is a set down, as is Keelan Oakley. Joe Woolley has taken the first set off Marcus Willis

Keelan Oakley is coming back like a train against his continental opponent - he took the 2nd set 6-4 and is now 2-0 up in the 3rd.
Out of form Dan Cox had a mini revival but is now a set and 5-3 down in his match.
Jack Carpenter lost the first set but it's on serve in the 2nd - bit of a battle by the looks of things.
Josh Milton is cruising in the 2nd set against Adrian Sikora but lost the 1st set.
Despite losing the 2nd set, Joe Woolley is a break up in the 3rd against Marcus Willis

Marcus sneaked through 6-4 in the third

Keelan was a break up in the third, but lost 7-5

Dan C lost 6-1 6-4

Disappointed with Jack - lost 6-4 6-4, I expected more

Milton is now 3-3 in the third

I said the top seeds looked vulnerable and it's proving the case already. Dan C gone, Julie Marie was in big trouble and Sikora is being pushed. Even the top seed is an early break down.
