Was his 11th match in 15 days tbf, I thought he looked like he was feeling it towards the end
Yes, I was wondering about these 11 matches in 15 days when I saw the scoreline, having not seen the match
It does seem that his level really dropped off, but I do think it is often difficult to tell how much of that is due to physical and / or mental fatigue
Even Novak seems to have had a bit of a stuggle today against Kukushkin after saying that last week he thought he was playing some of his best tennis.

Ran out of gas, coupled with Ferrer rediscovering his best form, not a great combination, also he's looking increasingly like just a top 8 player, not a top 4 one.
Didn't see the match but 26% second serve points won was clearly the reason why he lost. Zero double faults as well.
If you could do a stat of the biggest dropoff between 1st serve and 2nd serve average speeds on the mens game, I'm pretty confident Andy would be near the top.

I really is a bizarre mystery that a player like Andy who has worked so hard to improve so many aspects of his game has never been able to make significant improvements to what is clearly his biggest weakness.
We all know he can kick his 2nd serve but I think he has more problem loading it with spin when he feels the game getting tight. Some of those second serves look dire.
