Harriet looks like a solid top 250 prospect going forward, I think she's the type of player to maximise her potential, so should be fun going forward.

Em and Julie have lost the first set of the SF 6-4.

In the singles, seeds have gone to pot, with the top seed losing to Mestach, the second seed losing to the Ukranian player, young french qualifier Dodin continuing her run, after beating the fourth seed, and only in-form Witthoeft (winner at Barnstaple) playing true to her ranking

Em and Julie could be *4-0 up in the second, but have missed multiple break points (they had a point for *5-5 in the first set too)

*2-2

But reel off 3 games in a row from 3-4 to send it to a MTB

4-6 6-4 *0-0

From 6-3* to *6-6, another mini-break for 8-6*, but they lose the last four points to go out 6-4 4-6 10-8 :(

I see Oceane Dodin has come through qualifying and has made the final and will jump massively in her ranking from her ranking of 527. Definitely one to keep an eye out for in the future. It makes Charlotte Pearce's result seem quite encouraging.

In Barnstaple, Océane Dodin lost to Witthoeft, the eventual title winner, in three tight sets, losing the third 6-4. (Witthoeft won all her other matches easily).

This time round the young french girl gets revenge, winning 6-4 6-3

Océane, the U18 champion, had to take 7 months completely off tennis last year for 'health' reasons, and has decided to re-do her school year, doing her bac next summer as opposed to this. Wish her well :)
