Congrats to Johanna Konta who's announced on twitter that she's 'busy baking her own little muffin right now'. Baby on the way

There seems a big list at the moment (on the international scene) but just to mention a few on the men's side:

Thiem has withdrawn from Wimbly, his wrist issues still not resolved
Lloyd Harris has just had wrist surgery and is missing the rest of 2022
Jeremy Chardy has just had surgery on his knee and plans to come back in 2023
Zverev obviously has three major torn ligaments in his ankle and has had surgery
Medvedev is having hernia surgery and will be out for 1-2 months
Kei Nishikori is still unsure about his comeback following hip surgery
Kyle Edmund is battling his ongoing injury issues too
.....

That hernia operation can't be that urgent as Medvedev is due to play in an hour

Not sure where to put this question, but seeing Serena playing, I wondered what had happened to Venus? Also whether Serena's playing any dubs/exos?

Venus was in the players' box, supporting

Also, it's being reported that she's asked for a wildcard into the mixed doubles (don't know with whom)

Thanks, I saw her in Serena's box but wasn't sure whether she was there only to support Serena or to play too. I hadn't heard of her retiring, but then I don't follow her.

They both drop out of the rankings after Wimbledon - Venus will have a solitary point from Washington, but Serana will have none.
