Wardy should be on court very shortly.

It took a long time to come to life on both sites (VanOpen and ATP) but James has just broken and will serve for the 1st set *5-3

I'm sure the reason Wardy is playing so well is because Kokkinakis appears to be wearing Evo's (blue and light green-striped) shirt

Wardy ahead and still playing aggressively ... nice to see! He wins the 1st set 6-3

The commentator is so impressed with how James is playing that it's almost embarrassing LOL

Now don't let this one get away, Wardy ... (Kokkinakis is playing better in this set)

Another game of commentator Ward-worship - and fair enough, really - he breaks 6-3 *3-2

He loves Ward indeed!:) To be fair to James, he's been an excellent mix of solid consistency and flair.

Hugely impressive from Wardy - great serving stats - 73% 1st serves, 81% won on 1st serve, 71% on 2nd and not a single break point faced

QF: (6/SE) James Ward WR 157 beat (SE) Thanasi Kokkinakis (AUS) WR 216 (= CH) by 3 & 4

SF: (6/SE) James Ward WR 157 v (4) Farrukh Dustov (UZB) WR 144 (CH 140 last month)

Well done James!:) And well done also to Kokkinakis - decent rise to the top 200 according to the live rankings at 199. A good prospect at 18.

Looks like a tough match for James in the SF's but he can definitely win if he plays well enough. Would love to see a Ward v Baghdatis final!

Ward played really well! If he can find that level in the next match I'm sure he'll reach the final! :)

Great work James Up to 150 in LR, and a winnable match next too. Nice to see him doing well this week.

Good stuff, as it often can be when "good James" turns up.

I would agree that he can win his SF if he plays well enough :)
