They were both ranked outside the top 100 at Indian Wells, with Flipkens on 104 and Heather 132. Since then they have both climbed the rankings and then fallen back but with Heather now rapidly closing the gap. This could be a good chance to level the score.

Hopefully it'll be scheduled earliest Tuesday, otherwise it's going to be a tricky turnaround ( Hev managed a similar one from Budapest to Midland after Fed Cup )
Flippers form has been better recently not as good as last year though after a shocking start to the year.
Interesting to see Em here as a late withdrawal from Vancouver qualies where she'd have been looking for a couole of wins. Not a kind draw though, coukd have done with a slice of luck (albeit in a 16 player draw there's a limit to how lucky yiu can be!).
No idea how Hev will get on after the mess of Baku.

If Ms Webley-Smith is playing in Pennsylvania next week (which, from the entries thread, seems to be the case), then it makes more sense economically for her to wend her way gradually northward than to fly to Vancouver and back. Greener, too. Good choice!
