Only one seeded pair in the doubles - & look who it isn't! They should sweep all before them...
R1: (1) Ed Corrie & Freddie Nielsen (DEN) CR 266 (179+87) vs Christian Hirschmüller & Denis Kapric (GER/GER) UNR R1: Mark Carpenter & Stephen Taylor (IRL/IRL) UNR vs Ben Stride & Bjorn Thomson (IRL) UNR R1: Robert Dudley (IRL) & Luke Johnson UNR vs Aaron Banasik & Sam Hutt UNR R1: Rowan Isaaks & Isaac Stoute UNR vs Keelan Oakley & Adam Thornton-Brown UNR R1: Daniel Glancy (IRL) & Ed Seator ( ) UNR vs Peter Bothwell & David O'Hare UNR R1: Brendan Dempsey (IRL) & Scott Duncan UNR vs Joe Cooper & Chris Lewit (USA) UNR [non-GB - R1: Théo Fournerie & Alan Gleeson (FRA/IRL) UNR vs Trey Carter & Fergus O'Connell (USA/IRL)] R1: Simon Ede (AUS) & Jathan Malik UNR vs Sean Carson & Nicolas Rosenzweig (AUS/FRA)
And, I guess, if I've understood the points system right, that's three pairs (minimum) who will end up with points and a ranking at the end of the tournament. Which is something to smile about.
Having picked up a career best scalp and his first ranking point last week, when he beat Rosenzweig in R1, Adam Skalsky has just gone even better, upsetting 6th seed Théo Fournerie (WR 767 - his first top 1000 scalp) 2-6 6-3 7-6(3)
He next plays Bruce Strachan, against whom he has a 2-0 H2H, both in straight sets.

AND that's make three out of three today, for our lads beating ye olde peskies . . . although maybe not fair to call Brendan a pesky as it's obviously his country :)
Pleased for Skalsky - I saw him play at Wirral and he looked quite decent, so i'm surprised he had never picked up points until last week. In fact I think he beat Bruce Strachan at Wirral.
That bottom quarter looks like a cakewalk for Ed now
Slightly surprised Keelan is struggling - a set and a break down
Milts is cruising at 4-0 up
This draw really is weak. Great chances for the lesser lights to pick up nice points.
