Week 30 - Ireland F1 ($15,000) - Dublin (carpet)

... and the CHs

Seriously though, 3rd time lucky for Josh against Barry - a very good win that I wasn't really expecting

SF: (3) Josh Milton WR 484 beat (1) Sam Barry (IRL) WR 345 (CH 331 last week) by 2 & 4
SF: (2) Ed Corrie WR 385 beat (4) Yannick Jankovits (FRA) WR 564 (CH 378 in 2012) by 2 & 1

FINAL: (2) Ed Corrie WR 385 v (3) Josh Milton WR 484

H2H 3-2 - Josh 2-0 in 2012, Ed 3-0 in 2013

Thankfully on here, that's ok, since we're all amateurs - or at least, as far as I know all the regulars are!

This is a tough one - one is of course happy for them (especially Mr Corrie), but it's hard to get too excited when the World 87 wins a 15K futures with a good partner. This is not a Futures level team. Ah well, congratulations to them ... and to their opponents, who are now (well, in two weeks) most certainly no longer unranked.

You've got to love Josh's tenacity - wham, bam, and three games later he's got the second set 7-5

That should take Josh back to about WR 400 (maybe 403 or so).

He;s had a good little run, and no points of note to come off during August.

best result for a while for Ed too - and he had his chance, serving for the match . . .
