RE: Week 30 - Ireland F1 ($15,000) - Dublin (carpet)

The Irish boys gave the top seeds a run fro their money:

SF:  (1) Ed Corrie & Freddie Nielsen (DEN) CR 266 (179+87) defeated Robert Dudley (IRL) & Luke Johnson UNR by 3-6 6-4 [10-4]

Glad it's nothing serious - hope Jonny gets well soon.

Quite right!  My stupid mistake!    That said, definitely all-Irish opponents in the final:

SF:  Peter Bothwell & David O'Hare (IRL/IRL) UNR defeated Simon Ede (AUS) & Jathan Malik UNR 3-6 6-2 [10-8] - close!

*****

Final:  (1) Ed Corrie & Freddie Nielsen (DEN) CR 266 (179+87) vs Peter Bothwell & David O'Hare (IRL/IRL) UNR

I never thought that Jonny would beat Yannick but everything is possible and now we'll never know . .. :(

Do hope it's not an old nasty injury that's flared up . . .

Nice, however, to see Ed and Josh winning their matches very comfortably - must be Ed's best 'counter' for a couple of months . . .

Good to hear from David that Jonny's injury wasn't anything too serious I hope he's back in action feeling better very soon!

It's actually Ed's best counter since last week (he reached the semis in Frinton too), but I know what you mean - before that, he hadn't reached a semi-final since March, when he was the runner-up in Sherbrooke, Canada.

Josh took the 1st set 6-2 and is *0-1 in the 2nd. However, the scoreboard has been stuck for some considerable time right now. Technical glitch ? Rain ? Retirement ?

I don't think there is any rain - certainly not on the forecast.

It's a glitch.
Tennis Ireland is giving regular scores on twitter and is showing 5-4 Josh second set
