aaron Banasik beats Keelan, which is Aaron's first point since last autumn (and doubles his tally to two!).

Jathan's win was against a player who beat him the only previous time they met, which was in juniors back in 2010.

Sam's win was the first time he and Gleeson have played a match point in 3 meetings after one retirement each previously.

They are underway in Dublin - hoping for wins from Jathan and Jonny today to start picking up decent points and improve their rankings.

Jathan got broken at the key moment - first set to Yannick J., 7-5.

Shame but Yannick is 27 or so and pretty experienced.

Hope Jathan hangs in the second.

Ben Stride was 4-1* up but Freddie came through and took the set 6-4.

Oh, Mr Nielsen. Would that he had stayed with Mr Marray and played more doubles.

and Mr. Nielsen breaks at the key moment, once again, to take the second set 7-5, and the match.

As you say Spec, wish he'd go back and play with his 'own' kind . . .

Josh just pipped the first set, 7-5, re Sam Hutt.

Aaron and Glancy at 4-4 in the third . . .

Third set TB goes to Glancy.

Big shame for Aaron but pleased for the Irish to have one of their own into the QF of the Irish Open, as they call it (love that). (Should, on paper, get Barry too which'll give them a semi-finalist)
