Ivan is rich enough to be impossible to bribe to do something if he doesn't want to do it.
Off on a tangent, I sometimes wonder how rich retired sports players really are. Ivan stopped earning big money 20 years ago, and having to live off your capital from the age of 34 is a formidable challenge.
That does of course presuppose that he was sensible enough to set aside large amounts of his income in the first place, which is by no means certain. The charity xPro estimates that 40% of pro footballers go bankrupt within 5 years of retiring.

There's no way Lendl would be playing the old fogies tour were he as solvent as he'd have liked. He's too fat for one thing. Plus, as Coup rightly says, he has all those daughters, some even trying to become golf pros themselves. Money talks. Murray should have 'cuffed him with a shower of gelt instead of reinforcing that old myth about the Scots.
Watching Djoko and Kei on Sky and one of the commentators said Berdych was in discussions with Lendl for coaching help. Anyone heard anything about this?
A journalist asked Berdych about this, and his answer gave the impression it was under discussion. Maybe Berdy would be prepared to accept much less time than Andy needed. On the other hand, I will be surprised if Lendl agrees: Berdy is getting on a bit, after Lendl's success with Andy I would have thought he would if anything want to work with a younger player who showed great potential. It would do his CV no good if he took on Berdy and failed. . . Of course the nationality thing may be in Berdych's favour.
Douglas Robson ‏@dougrobson 6m I bumped into Lendl & asked about coaching Berdych. He wouldnt say much but insisted he wont travel a lot. Dont hold your breath."
