Shame Harry missed out again. He keeps drawing seeds and taking the first set and not quite finishing his opponents. It's just down to experience, results will come.
I'm at Preston tomorrow and looking forward to seeing a few players that I have not seen yet - Ashley, Rob C and JWH on the boys side and Sean and Dave playing doubles.

Tom won the 1st set against George Morgan 6-4 and has just broken to lead *4-3 in the 2nd
George Coupland is 6-4 *3-3 v JWH
Rob is an early break up against Ashley *4-2
Toby is 4-6 4-3* down but putting up a very good fight v top seed Schoorel and now has 0-30 on the Dutchman's serve ... except that as I write, lots of points suddenly get added and it is advantage Schoorel, who has taken 1/2 bps so far and saved 6/6. Another couple of bps for Toby by Schoorel has now saved 8

Real shame for Toby losing 4&4. Before the match we would have said that was a really good performance, but as CD says, the frustrating stat is the BP conversions. Schoorel was 2/3 and Toby 0/8. It could have been so much better. But well played anyway Toby. It was still a good performance.
George C beat JWH 6-4 7-6(3)
Rob C beat Ashley 6-3 6-3
Dave R beat Griekspoor (S) 6-3 6-2

I think Toby has got a lot to be positive about this week - finally beating his 2014 nemesis Rosenzweig (and in some style!) then giving the top seed a really good match. A pity he couldn't take any of the 8 bps, but Schoorel is a top 200 / ex-top 100 player - it's hardly unusual for someone like that to have the edge on the big points against a player ranked nearly 700 places lower.
