But only in the singles. Not a Nederlander in sight in the doubles, thanks to the sterling efforts of our full and semi-GB teams, who between them beat three Dutch pairings.

It looks like there is very little GB interest tomorrow now - i might not bother now. I expected one of the boys in the singles to win.

I can watch the doubles on stream....

Luke & Liam s !

Final:  (3) Luke Bambridge & Liam Broady CR 913 (478+435) defeated (1) Freddie Nielsen (DEN) & Josh Ward-Hibbert CR 377 (48+329) by 4 & 4

Looks like a pretty straightforward victory!

Not every day you beat a Wimbledon men's doubles champ in straight sets in doubles!

That's Luke's 2nd title in a row, 6th overall (all with different partners - I wonder if he celebrates by having a tart for tea wink) and Liam's 7th Futures doubles title - the previous few were with JWH, who was on the other side of the net today.

5 Bps a piece and again - one team converted zero, and one team converted one in each set.

Well done to all.

As the three Brits all had a pretty mediocre tournament (at best) in terms of singles, nice to see them getting the 'glory' in the doubles.

And, of course, both the Dutch lads are signed up for Tipton next week too - frankly, I think this is taking the whole Schengen agreement a bit too far! And we're not even part of it !!!!!

Mr Bambridge's doubles record since last October is fairly striking - all the more so given that he has not had a steady partnership. If you don't count the tournament in which his team withdrew/gave a walkover, he has played 11, W 5, F 3, SF 2 and only one early loss. Mr Broady (same rules) has played 8, W 2, F 2, SF 1. Not bad either, though not quite so striking.

Didn't you see the T-shirts? "Celebrating 325 years of the Glorious Revolution - we're back and ready to rule again!" (Not really. But it feels that way)
