Week 10 - Great Britain F7 ($10,000) - Preston (Hard)

A 5th consective break of serve sees Jonny's match go into a TB which unfortunately goes the wrong way.

Jonny loses 7-5 7-6(2) to "Anders Danser" (or which ever anagram he chooses to use today).

Edit

For those that can't follow my rather unusual sense of humour, (that would be most of you, I'm sure), I have noted that Sander Arends has a surname that is an anagram of his firstname. So I decided to make up a couple more anagrams just for fun. Hence - "Anders Danser"

Bit bored today Bob? Haha. Don't worry I got it (helped that I saw the original post where you brought it up). It must be a unique phenomenon.

That's a great win for Rob C.

Jathan is a break up against 3rd seed Marcora *4-3

Cam is holding his own against Nielsen - he was a break down but is now level *3-3

Make that 6-7(2) ( cry ) & a set up (6-3) ( wink ) respectively.

Poor Bambo on that draw, but he's got a good head on his young shoulders and will only take encouragement from this performance.
Nice to see Rob get back to winning ways against a dangerous opponent.

If you're deadly bored (don't believe it for one minute smile), this might cheer you up:

I am currently looking at some student's essay about Land law and 3rd party rights over the land, and she's spent the whole essay talking about :  "third-party tights"

I'm HOPING it's just a daft typo (although there's lots of it cry) - otherwise she really DOES think that protecting people's property rights just boils down to their old charity-shop stockings !!!!

NB congrats to Rob and George C !

Jathan loses by 6-7(2) 4-6 (not a bad showing!) & Cam by 6-3 1-6 2-6. cry

Freddie's clearly back to his Brit-bashing worst! evileye

Worryingly it appears Jonny and Cameron have withdrawn from the doubles. As the withdrawal happened whilst Cameron was still on court, I am concerned that Jonny may have aggravated something during his match. Let's hope I am wrong.

LOL. You should get the students to look up the Valencian "Land Grab" law. As this is a tennis forum, I won't bore you with the details.

Ashley looks like he is in cruise control against Clay, leading 6-2 5-0

Dave R has taken the 1st set 6-4

Toby on fire in the early stages and leads *5-1

Toby hasn't had a great start to the year, not least because he lost to Rosenzweig in two final qualifying rounds last month, so it's great to see him win 8 of the first 9 games against his GEMesis today (he's now 6-1 2-0* up)
