I see that Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine, aged 14 (28/06/02), already highly ranked, has moved up further after QFs at the Eddie Herr and Orange Bowl, to JWR 23.
37 boys born in 1998 due to drop out of the top 100 in a weeks time and this is a year where there are plenty of 98 ers out there playing futures and challengers but only 15 girls.
Interesting to Usue Arconada one of Katie Swans main rivals maintained her rank so long a product of winning in her final year of juniors on a the girls side, a bit torn as to the merit in this approach as a marker of long term successful transition.
Personally I would shift the age group for end of year number 1 down to 17 re the junior exempt scheme to facilitate transition at least a year earlier, still keep an 18 and under ranking system but it is what you have achieved by your penultimate year at the latest that facilitates transition.
When was the last time we had 2 players in the end of year top 20?
http://www.itftennis.com/juniors/rankings/year-end-rankings.aspx has the year end rankings for every year since the combined ranking was introduced in 2004 From that you will see that the last time two (or more) British boys and/or girls were in the top 20 was in 2011 (Oliver Golding/Liam Broady/George Morgan, with Kyle Edmund just outside). 2010 (Golding/Morgan0 and 2008 (Willis/Robson) also fit this criterion.
Well done to young Jack Draper - into the top 100 and only just turned 15 !

The youngest British boy in the top 100 for a long time - certainly since I have been following British junior tennis. Andy Murray entered the top 100 at the same time of the junior cycle (January in year 2 post 14) but was of course 7 months older
