Finn s certainly progresing well rankingswise. I have read a few doubts about his true progress, but he is still just 16 and not 17 until October. I've never seen him myself.
Fran, another one on a very good schedule purely on rankings, being 15 and not 16 until September. And great to see how Jodie has pushed on lately.
Very good to now have 3 1999 girls in the top 30 with Jodie and Emily having made big moves of late.
If they are or have been playing a decent number of junior ITFs Id be looking to girls ( more than boys ) to be really impacting the junior rankings by their second last junior year, ie the year in which they turn 17 and looking to move onto senior competition by their last junior year, ie such as Gabi and Maia this year.
Good to see these girls looking to be on a good track.

That's the first time that Katie Swan has not been GB1 Junior girl since Katie Boulter's graduation on 1 January 2015. It's been an exciting 18 months; but with her early exit from Wimbledon she will drop a further net 90 ranking points, and she has very few remaining good Junior scores from 2016. So I think her focus should now shift to adult competition; though she may opt to play the US Open if she still has enough points to make the cut.
Jodie, who takes over as our top Junior girl, has posted all of her top 6 singles scores in 2016, so is likely to improve from here. After beginning the year in Grade 3s, she should stand a good chance of being seeded at the US Open and the Orange Bowl. With no singles points to defend, she's now about 150 points short of making the top 10, and the JE scheme; about 200 points short of the top 8, and qualifying for the World Junior Championships, 2017.
