RE: Week 41 - Israel F13 ($10,000) - Akko (Hard)

QF:  (1) Liam Broady & Joshua Ward-Hibbert WR 844 defeated (WC) Yum Adiv & Ron Klain (ISR/ISR) UNR by 0 & 3

And, again I presume:

SF:  (1) Liam Broady & Joshua Ward-Hibbert WR 844 vs (3) Dekel Bar & Jui-Chen Hung (ISR/TPE) CR 1484

Jonny: "thanks guys. Not a fun day today. Spent most of it on a drip in hospital. Some sort of virus. Try to rest up now"

Probably preferable to an injury in the big scheme of things, but I can imagine it may not feel like that right at the moment!

Well, the 'good' news is that Jonny's not injured but has some really nasty virus :

"Not a fun day today. Spent most of it on a drip in hospital. Some sort of virus. Try to rest up now"

get better soon . . .

Hmm, good effort from Toby. 4 & 4 not exactly clinical from JWH against an unranked player but main thing is he's through and now an exciting opportunity to test himself against the number 1 seed. If he can win that, he's clearly ready to be winning Futures sooner rather than later.

www.tennis.org.il/future_Akko_and_RamatHasharon2013

it's the club's own site.

NB no thanks to me but some other forum guy (sorry, can't remember who but thank you very much) who posted the link a couple of days ago.

PS JWH got broken in the first game but managed, just, to break back so all even for the moment . . .

Not to be, a lead of 4-5 points early in the MTB squandered hmm:

SF:  (2) Ivo Klec & Michal Schmid (SVK/CZE) CR 834 defeated Luke Bambridge & Evan Hoyt CR 2546 by 7-6(6) 6-7(5) [10-8]

*****

Final:  (1) Liam Broady & Joshua Ward-Hibbert WR 844 vs (2) Ivo Klec & Michal Schmid (SVK/CZE) CR 834

Josh holds more easily, 5*-3, gets 2 break-back points but loses them, SP to Schmid, saves it, but the next SP is taken ----- 6-3 to Schmid

We could have an all-Brit final - if Luke & Evan can but get the better of the second seeds.
