The all-GB match started then got stopped for rain and has now restarted (live stream on the LTA site) - Bally has just won the 1st set 6-1, looks in a different class (as of course, she is)

It's chucking it down here so matches are moving inside. They're going to start with those that haven't got under way yet so Lisa will be playing at about 3.30pm.

I'll be doing Twitter updates at @sportcambridge again for anyone interested.

Samantha was a break down in the 1st set but has just broken back for *4-4

Lisa has lost the 1st set 6-2 but from embee's tweets, it seemed like she was getting into a bit more later in the set

Lisa lost 2 & 1 - it sounds like she had a really bad serving day today

Samantha managed to take BZS to a 1st set tiebreak, but the Czech player edged it 8-6 ... Sam must be playing well though

 First time I have really seen Emily play, her forehand is very questionable but I can see why she is where she is as her overall game is just lacking any weapons! 

Hoping for Elena to win this tournament, shes been looking good in her first two matches.

Feel a bit sorry for Lisa.
Having talked about the work she'd done to adapt her game for the grass season, she then gets rained off and has to play a match with good potential rewards for her, in one of the few grass events each year, on an indoor acrylic court, much more familiar for, and suited to, her opponent (who grew up on carpet in Montreal & Quebec City).
Not great luck, but them's the breaks
