QF: Anne Keothavong WR 209 beat (3) Akgul Amanmuradova (UZB) WR 142 by 7-6(5) 4-6 6-4
SF: Anne Keothavong WR 209 v Julie Coin (FRA) WR 198 (CH 60 in 2009)
That makes 4/4 opponents with career highs in the top 60 this week (the others' CHs were 34, 55 & 50) for Anne, whose own CH is 48 of course. She has played (and beaten) Coin twice, thrashing her 1 & 0 in Stanford in 2008 then winning again in 3 sets in Fès in 2010. This is the Frenchwoman's first tournament since she got thrashed by Tara in Surprise last month.

Some classic TennisTalker tweets on this tournament today ahead of Anne's match. Bear in mind there is no live streaming, only livescores. Priceless!!! Match is still running........timeline here, my comments in square brackets.
1. Foretz-Gacon struggling again, this time against Zahlavova. [Is she, or is Z playing well?]
2. Foretz fights back and then throws it away again. Poor from the French girl infront of her home supporters [How does he know?]
3. Zahlavova takes the 1st set and could run away with it now. She has a 2-0 H2H record over Foretz who is struggling on serve
4. Zahlavova cruising to upset Foretz Gacon [Foretz then broke back immediately second set, broke Z again and took it, but this wasn't mentioned!]
5. Zahlavova recomposed herself [did she?] and looks strong again in the 3rd set after giving the 2nd set away to Foretz [How does he know she gave it away?]
6. Zahlavova 4-1 up now in the 3rd. nearly there, big win and big final spot for her [immediately Foretz held serve, broke again, now back on serve at 4-4, but not mentioned!!]
[Zahlavova then prevailed in a tight third set]
7. Foretz could not handle any pressure [Wow, outrageous comment!] .... Zahlavova goes into the final to face either Keothavong or Coin
Great VFM entertainment, in between him randomly accusing Paolo Lorenzi of cheating today because he lost a set....of course he won his match!!!! Is there no shame?

Isn't this the same thing as many on here do? I may be wrong, but my memory leads me to believe you may be one of the biggest culprits. At the very least, there have been comments posted here about disappointing performances and poor form based purely on a scoreboard.
I think you can ascribe a "disappointing performance" from a match result without live streaming if it is a big upset, and you can certainly talk of poor form if its a continuation of previous losses (eg Jamie Baker at present) without seeing the match. I'd like to think that many of us make these more general comments in good faith, but its the very detailed specifics seen above which I find irksome, and yet almost funny. Let's be clear, he's slagging off Foretz for playing badly in a match he cannot see against an opponent against whom she has a 0-2 record!
If I interpret too much sometimes, you are, of course, right to push back! I hope I'm a little more balanced than the above!

My first reaction (about many of us doing this from time to time rather than korriban being a particular 'culprit') was the same. We often qualify it a bit more but that's tough to do in 140 characters.
However, I'd say Twitter is more 'public' than this forum (maybe I'm wrong, because in theory this is just as public and it's all too easy to feel like a relatively small group of friends and forget how many people read the posts here without posting very much, but I'm a bit more careful about what I post on Twitter than I am here) and I think korriban has a good point about it not being a good idea to make it seem like you're watching a match when all you are seeing is live scores.
