Well what a fantastic week for Anne out of nowhere, hopefully she can carry this form onto the clay court season. Thought her career was going into freefall but this should give her a fair bit of confidence

Probably more importantly, a big positive - finally - from a competitive week, champion for the loss of just one set

There could hardly be a better way to react to dropping out of the top 200, could there Five former top 80 players beaten to win the title and she'll go straight back into the top 200 in the mid-180s.

Very well done to Anne, I too certainly didn't see it coming. What with Laura looking better at Miami, even before her superb doubles ecploits, and one or two other wins, definitely a much better week for British women's tennis !
