Tara Moore has eventually appeared on the ITIA sanction list. The date of sanction was 27th May with the suspension issued 8th June. There is a player on the list called Elsa Wan. It's more a case of Elsa Lost. The sanction list could be a topic on Pointless. In order to win the prize money the contestants would have to name somebody on the list. Bar a couple of people on the list you would be hard pressed to name anybody. They are just people who one has never heard of.
It seems highly unlikely that the only players who are doping are very unsuccessful at tennis. Far more likely is that either better players are much better at concealing their doping or that there is no will to catch better players. Incidentally excessive acne is apparently often a side effect of steroids!
are there any top players that applies to?
Well there is one player now at the pinnacle of the game who is distinctly spotty....
Talking about acne and steroids there was the world champion East German sprinter Katrin Krabbe of the early nineties who had bad acne. Then in 1992 along with 2 of her team mates she tested positive for an illegal stimulant.
The same individual has recently bulked up substantially in a remarkably similar way to that demonstrated by his better-known compatriot nearly twenty years ago.
This is massive. I know nothing about Halep as a person so cant judge - Im reading its a red blood cell stimulant and somehow linked to EPO but taken orally as opposed to injection. Its also a drug used to treat chronic kidney failure but if she had that it would surely be covered under a TUE?
Im reading a lot of folks pointing at the Mourateglou relationship here, must admit I have no time for that man. But who knows.
Tara is correct about this. She was suspended on 7th June and nothing has happened. Whereas contrast this with Dayana Yastremska in 2021. She was suspended on 7th January 2021 and a final decision made on 22nd June allowing her to return to play.. She was on her 3rd appeal having failed on 2 appeals in the interim. On a timing basis Tara's case should have been sorted out by now.
