Unfortunately 1 good point from Napolitano and a couple of errors from Evan allow the Italian to break back immediately to love

3-2*

been watching this off and on.  what a beauty of an off forehand that was for evan to break.  and even though the break was short-lived, i've been struck by how positive evan's body language has been throughout the encounter.  really good to see.

This time Evan consolidates to 0, and his body language is much better than the Italian's

3 good serves and it's 40-0. The Italian saves the second with a brilliant (disputed) lob but Evan is not to be denied

and serve it out he does.  like i said, i'm very impressed by evan's attitude and fight.  how he regrouped after that lob on the second match point was called in and just got on with it to take his third opportunity instead of complaining about the call sums it up nicely.

napolitano's forehand seemed all over the place, but i like evan's game. his serve and his ability to mix spins on the backhand, and his willingness to come forward are the extra plusses.  his forehand seemed inconsistent today from what i saw, but not nearly as scattershot as his opponent's.
