he certainly went for it on that match point.  let's just hope this serve out game goes as kyle's last few serve games have gone.

3 more blistering serves and it is 40-0 - and a forehand winner seals the trophy

Kyle's serving and forehand penetration was very impressive. That's all 3 under 16 trophies this year: Winter Cup (Jonny O'Mara/Chris Pearce/Billy Harris); Borotra Cup and Junior Davis Cup. Great stuffsmile

Great stuff 25 goes before they got to the Final for the first time (it started in 1985), then two years later they win it.

The way Kyle had been playing that match, I'd have been shocked had he NOT served it out easily - and that's not something you can often say about the Brits. They seem to have been extremely professional throughout, lots of credit to them and the Ruser for that.

What's great is that all 3 seemed to have equally pulled their weight in this tourny. Going in to it, I thought it would be Kyle and Luke as first choice, but Evan showed that he should be equally as highly regarded. Superb.

I only found the live video link in time for the trophy ceremony.............. which seems to be taking aeons !! Got one brief glimpse of our boys. Not sure I have the stamina ( or the Spanish) to sit it out much longer !

Well, they looked very sweet holding their trophy, and the national anthem playing smile

Well they had to win it to get on, but there is a report on the bbc.

Have the last 2 to 3 years of British tennis been the worst that there will be for the foreseeable future?

The crop of 15-18 year olds seem very promising, they won't all make it of course but surely our "top 10" players of 2015-20 will be ranked a lot higher than those of 2010?????

My fingers are firmly crossed. It certainly looks hopeful. But then, I remember when Martin Lee was a junior who was going to be a world-beater. . .
