Excellent clinical performance in the last two matches yields our first ever appearance in the Junior Davis Cup final. Whether it is the Czech Republic or Australia they have both been in the final several times. I wonder whether Olly is ill, injured or not selected for tactical reasons (they may have felt that George's game was more suited to playing their number 1)?

I disagree Alex, there is a final to lose.

Time we had more winners !!!

I am sure the guys desperately want to win that final too.

But, yes, certainly very well done on their week's work so far, now I really hope they finish the week in style.

Just had a quick chat with George Morgan on facebook! biggrin

Apparently Olly didn't play because "he didnt play that well yesterday and he wasnt feeling great."  And they've got the Aussies in the final tomorrow.

Yes, I was just going to say that the guys here that were following Oliver's match against Argentina weren't that complimentary at the end, so would have no doubt concurred with the "didn't play that well" bit.

However, if he wasn't feeling well, I guess some allowance can be made.

I had still thought it bit of a surprise that he didn't play against France.

I guess if he's feeling better he may well be back for the final, since although I thought Andrew put up a good match, he hasn't made an overwhelming case for  singles selection.

Is this a 50/50 call for the final against the Aussies ?
I love the way George seems to lift his game for the big occasion augurs well for his senior career and he also has really got a good partnership going with Andrew in the doubles. But surely an 80%
fit Ollie is better than Andrew for the other singles slot.
