This week's GB top 25 table and all of the other tables linked to from the stats page have been updated with the new official rankings.
There are new singles career highs for 4 players, headed by Amanda Carreras at 429 and new doubles career highs for 4 players, headed by Jocelyn Rae at 234.
Nicola Slater is back on the rankings at 1142 but Olivia Scarfi and Holly Richards only have two counting tournaments now so have dropped off.

Next week's GB women's top 25 table is now up, with Heather Watson taking her place in the main table at the expense of Olivia Smith. 10 of the GB top 15 are in action, the majority of them in the Vigo 25K in Spain, but none of the next 10 seem to be playing ITFs anywhere.

The GB top 25 table for this week (wk 30) and all the other tables linked to from the BT.net stats page have been updated with the new official (27 Jul) rankings.
There are 5 singles career highs for the GB women, headed by Amanda Carreras at 412 and Heather Watson, who comes straight into the rankings at 756, while Steph Cornish rejoins the rankings as well (but below her career high) and Elena & Katie creep back into the top 110 despite not gaining points. Three new doubles career highs are headed by Jocelyn Rae at 233.

The GB top 25 table for next week (wk 31) is now available via the Following Week link on the current table. Not that many Brits are in action, but those that are find themselves in the US, India, Kazakhstan, Germany, Austria and Poland.
After 30 weeks of 2009, the 20 GB/wannabe GB women who have picked up more than a dozen points in 2009 so far are as follows, with their actual GB ranking as it will be tomorrow in brackets:
644 Anne Keothavong (1) 524 Katie O'Brien (3) 484 Elena Baltacha (2) 208 Naomi Cavaday (6) 172 Georgie Stoop (5) 165 Melanie South (4) 99 Johanna Konta (still plays for AUS) 81 Jade Curtis (8) 74 Naomi Broady (9) 65 Amanda Carreras (10) 31 Anna Smith (11) 31 Tara Moore (14) 27 Emily Webley-Smith (7) 26 Heather Watson (UN) 24 Jocelyn Rae (16) 22 Amanda Elliott (17) 22 Elizabeth Thomas (20) 18 Natasha Khan (13) 14 Anna Fitzpatrick (24) 13 Danielle Brown (25)
Things are looking a bit worrying for GB no. 19 Yasmin Clarke, who has scored just one point this year and has lost 9 of her last 10 matches, and for Jade Windley and Samantha Vickers, with just 2 and 3 points so far this year respectively.

This week's GB Top 25 table and all of the other links from the stats page have been updated with the new 3 Aug official WTA rankings.
5 GB women have hit new singles career highs, headed by Elena Baltacha, who matches Katie's career high of 104, though Katie will probably take the WR 104 slot back from her next Monday - I just wish they could both get those few extra points they need to make the real breakthrough! Amanda Elliott, who has been having a rough time of it this year, drops 66 to 604 and out of the GB top 15 - she is the only Brit moving more than 30 places.
7 GB women have hit new doubles career highs, headed by Sarah Borwell, who has made it into the top 80.
The following 12 players have moved up more than 10% of the way between where they started the year and no. 1 this year:
+34.6% Watson, Heather (NEW from UNR to 755) +34.1% Curtis, Jade (UP from 520 to 343) +32.9% O'Brien, Katie (UP from 159 to 107) +24.9% Carreras, Amanda (UP from 548 to 412) +23.7% Baltacha, Elena (UP from 136 to 104) +20.0% Broady, Naomi (UP from 471 to 377) +19.7% Brown, Danielle (NEW from UNR to 927) +18.0% Smith, Olivia (NEW from UNR to 946) +14.5% Moore, Tara (UP from 650 to 556) +13.2% Webley-Smith, Emily (UP from 357 to 310) +12.9% Cavaday, Naomi (UP from 287 to 250) +11.5% Stoop, Georgie (UP from 218 to 193) +10.3% Robson, Laura (UP from 517 to 464)
... while the following 9 have dropped more than 10%, though some of this is due to players retiring or being injured:
-11.1% Windley, Jade (DOWN from 696 to 773) -16.7% Smith, Anna (DOWN from 372 to 434) -25.5% Wigan, Tara (DOWN from 890 to 1117) -27.2% Scarfi, Olivia (OUT from 894 to UNR) -28.2% Clarke, Yasmin (DOWN from 555 to 711) -37.6% South, Melanie (DOWN from 110 to 151) -76.8% Fitzpatrick, Anna (DOWN from 483 to 853) -90.2% Elliott, Amanda (DOWN from 318 to 604) -93.9% Borwell, Sarah (DOWN from 363 to 703)

Next week's GB top 25 women's table is now up. Only 6 of our top 25 are playing, with Amanda Elliott having already gone out, though Tara Wigan is a DA in Germany as well.
The main ranking changes will be Katie taking over from Elena as GB no. 2 and Sarah Borwell dropping out of the GB top 20. The biggest points los on Monday week will be for Georgie Stoop, who will lose points from last year's Coimbra Final.

Oops, I forgot to mention that the new GB Top 25 women's table went up on Monday. All the stats pages have been updated with the new rankings too and there are two new singles CHs for the GB women, with Elena exceeding Katie's career high of 103 by reaching 102 and Amanda Carreras scraping into the top 400 for the first time, while five new doubles CHs are headed by Jade Curtis at 254.

The GB top 25 women's table for this week is now up - once again, while it's a busy week for the GB men, hardly any of the women have entered anything.
All of the tables available via the BT.net stats page have now been updated with the new WTA rankings too.
There are 8 new singles career highs, headed by Laura Robson, up 132 to 330 after her success in US Open qualifying, Jade Windley, up 119 to 624 after winning the London Cumberland 10K title, and Heather Watson.
There are 7 new doubles career highs, headed by Sarah Borwell, up 1 to 77.

This week's GB top 25 women's table is finally up - too late to follow anyone but Elena and Katie on, but you can see where players were this week, how many ranking points they picked up (quite a few in some cases!) and an estimate of where they will be ranked on Monday as a result.
There were 7 new singles career highs for GB women on Monday, led by Elena Baltacha at WR 101, and 7 new doubles CHs led by Sarah Borwell at WR 76.

The GB top 25 women's table for this week is now available and that plus all of the other women's pages linked to from the BT.net stats page have now been updated with the new official WTA rankings.
There are 7 new singles career highs, headed of course by Elena at 93 and Katie at 98, as they break into the top 100, while Heather Watson has hit a new CH of 678.
5 new doubles career highs are headed by Cav at 265 and Wobbly at 289.
Only nine of the GB top 25 women are in action this week, with Elena at the 100K+H in Athens and four of our top 10 at the 25K in Helsinki.
Our top 20 points scorers so far this year, including Johanna Konta and with actual GB rankings in brackets, are:
676 Elena Baltacha (2) 644 Anne Keothavong (1) 643 Katie O'Brien (3) 243 Melanie South (4) 232 Naomi Cavaday (6)
Next week's GB Top 25 women's table is now up (the men's version appeared a couple of days ago) - lots of them are in action for a change, mostly in Barnstaple, but we have players in main draws on four different continents!
I wonder if Bally has been offered the main draw WC that came free at the last moment in Barnstaple ...
