I vote for a second thread for QR2 and 3.

Presumably its over to the women tomorrow, I still havent got into the habit of the fact that our women are much better than our men now, though its been like this for a good few months at least so maybe I should have.

Just to prove how little interest/knowledge Wimby webmasters have of British Tennis furious :-

"Following Bloomfield's success, Brits Jamie Goodall and Chris Eaton advanced to the next round. Goodall won in straight sets while Eaton, who gained entry through the Wildcard play-off last week, went the distance with Mikhail Kukushkin 2-6, 6-4, 7-5.

Jonathan Marray, another wildcard entrant, was not so lucky, losing in straight sets to Kevin Kim."

Following on from the now corrected Jonathan MUrray I dont know how they missed out on Andy Eaton biggrin

wish they would get the slamtracker up as having to manually refresh and scroll right to bottom of screen is seriously annoying

Try using F5 instead of the "refresh" button:  once the page is refreshed, it returns you to your original place. wink

Cant see this posted anywhere so apols if it is....

BBC report....

Josh Goodall, Richard Bloomfield and Chris Eaton won their first matches at the Wimbledon qualifying event at Roehampton but five Britons went out.

Goodall, who missed out on a wildcard, beat Slovak Ivo Klec 6-4 6-3 while Bloomfield beat Portugal's Rui Machado, ranked 287 to his 412, 6-3 7-5.

Eaton beat Mikhail Kukushkin, ranked 522 places above him, 2-6 6-4 7-5.

Ken Skupski, Morgan Phillips, Jonathan Marray, Edward Seator and Daniel Cox all crashed out without winning a set.

Phillips unfortunately had to retire with a knee injury sustained in the second set.

Jamie Murray's doubles partner Max Mirnyi successfully opened his account with a straight-sets win over Slovakia's Karol Beck.

I really really really hope its the other knee...I mean a slight knee injury...dont want him to have a 'pair' so to speak...really hope he is okay !!!

Oh dear, that sounds very, very ominous. cry Anything but a recurrence of that injury.

Article (with quotes) on Coxy from the Lincolnshire Echo, his local paper -

I only just 'discovered' this paper. Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on it as they have reports on him and Windley once in every few weeks!

Here's one with Rusedski saying nice things about him - http://www.sportsecho.co.uk/other_sports/tennis/news_and_reports/displayarticle.php?ID=1787
