I had to rush out after the Final, hence the late post, but what a brilliant week from Andy. :)
Sheddie - he's always been pretty fast around the court, hasn't he, but I agree with you and Bethan, his court coverage has been awesome this week. At one point, he managed to get to (and manufacture a winning passing shot from) a ball that even I, as a spectator, had completely given up on.
I just wish he'd play a bit more agressively so he didn't have to knacker himself out so much, not least because the more aggressively he plays, the more points he seems to win!
I think Andy is probably the 4th best player in the world at the moment - at his best, better than Nole, but not nearly as consistent yet, but much more consistent than Numpty, who at his best is probably better than Andy. I'm not sure, though, how much longer Rafa is going to remain world no, 2, so I think all the spots up to no. 2 could be up for grabs this year.

I don't know whether anyone mentioned this at the time, but in case nobody did, it's worth noting that Andy's QF win here was his 100th career win at ATP level. (c.f. Tigger's 490-something in his career)

"He is quite confident in terms of his physical ability and one or two of the technical changes he has made," Judy Murray told BBC Radio Five Live.
"He's made changes on his forehand and serve. They make a big difference." "One of the things Andy really needed to improve with was first serve percentage and in doubles it's so important to serve well, and he certainly served well in Doha," said his mother.
She was also keen to clarify the roles of the new coaches.
"Louis is definitely Jamie's coach - he is more the guru guy to Andy, the consultant guy, and Miles Maclagan is the coach who does the travelling with him," she said.
"So far it has worked very well, they are all people he's comfortable with and has fun with off the court, so yes he's enjoying it."
