well i bet the organisers and sponsors are kicking themselves they didn't go for round robin ... and hopefully next year the format will be obsolete anyway.
Thought you might enjoy this - a visual representation of the havoc that's been wreaked on my picks in the first 3/4 of the last quarter of the draw. Grey names are names I've already got wrong or can't possibly get right now.
I assume quite a few of us are in the same boat, and with Fed out of the top half now (4 of us had him getting to the semis, the rest of us had him winning), this could be a very low-scoring pick 'em contest!
4th isnt too bad, and with 6 of my 8 quarter finalists still playing, I've got a decent chance of going further (only Federer and Robredo have let me down so far)
After 4 matches today, two of us had 0/4 and only one of us had more than 50% of them correct - that was shedman, picking Chela helped him up into 2nd place.
Then that unbelievably annoying $*£%^*, Nalbandian, came back from 1 set down again to beat Mathieu 2 & 0 in the 2nd & 3rd. The old maxim "never trust a French player not to choke" comes to mind here ...
That really put the cat among the pigeons, and seagull has finally lost his lead to John, who is now one point ahead of him, with sheddie & FD a point further behind and Annie & me two points behind them.
Whether it will be the same when Bethan posts the official update later this evening, only time will tell ...

Still looking okay for me today, as the 3 players I had in this round so far have all won, and Murray and Ljubicic are looking good as well so this could be a good day for me.
Nalbandian coming from a set down isn't really a surprise, as he doesnt get going until he is in trouble, and I have him reaching the final, so I'm looking forward to seeing him do it time and time again in this tournament

You think thats bad - I had Fed and Berdych as my finalists. Just weird - after the AO where the seeds were so solid throughout to hit the first AMS event and they are all dropping like flies.
No change when Andy won - we all got that right. No change either when Canas (prdictably) lost to Moya - we all had Fed winning that one.
Ferrer beating Tipsy was good for all those who had Ferrer to win, including seagull who climbed back into 1st place, bad for all those who had picked Hewitt to beat both of them, who (like me) were probably hoping to a Tipsy win so that nobody got any points from this match today.
The most annoying match so far (from my point of view) was Gonzo v Sod - the Swede has been doing well recently and I was banking on him to take out a rusty Gonzo. It was looking promising last night when Gonzo made heavy work of his R2 match before getting through, but that obviously cleared the rust. It was very close to being an inpired pick, but the silly old Sod lost in two tiebreaks. That lifted FD and Alex into 2=, just one point behind, and dropped me to 9th - I'm the only one in the top 10 not to have scored 50%+ in this round so far.
The lack of shocks tonight has done for last night's 'hero' JL too - he has almost dropped below 50 now. For all the rest, you'll have to wait for the official update.

Weirder still, IW isn't known for lots of shocks, if I remember right.
