I have been alerted by a tweet from Liam that the MD is out.

I wrote

@Liambroady @jwardhibbert @Jonny_OMara @Bambo258 @HoytEvan @TobyMartin93 Good luck to all for the trip to Israel. Bring home the points.

Liam Responded

@ExpatTennisFan @jwardhibbert @Jonny_OMara @Bambo258 @HoytEvan @TobyMartin93 thanks Bob. Hopefully Jonny won't this week ;)

You can guess why he said that - he plays Johnny in the L32. And Evan's reward for qualifying is to play the top seed.

I will type out the full draw for Brits now, if nobody else is already doing it.

Quite a weak tournament. Evan must have a decent chance of toppling the top seed. Think Luke will beat the seventh seed. JWH, Toby and Liam should progress.

Sorry Bob, you must have been writing your post about Liam as I was putting up the draw after realising it was up on the ATP site even though it is still not up on the ITF site. Liam's tweet does indeed make a lot more sense now!

Just edited to add in opponents' career highs - all H2Hs are 0-0.

If GB got 4 into R2, I'd say that would really be a very good return. I think 3 more likely.

Well done to Evan for qualifying. I really liked his game and attitude when I saw him recently, there a lot to get excited by.
That said, I don't expect him to beat Schmid (obviously) but, of course, you never know . . .

Liam and JWH shoudl be OK but I'm hoping for a good run from Luke though. I sort of feel that he hasn't quite managed to get the momentum going in the same way that Liam and JWH have. And yet he's had some excellent, close matches against some very good players (Cox, Willis, Stakhovsky . . .)

Agree with Indy - 3 seems a reasonable hope, 4 would be very good (and 5 obviously excellent). Could well end up with just 2 though . . .(or less, stating the blindingly obvious and covering every single base . . . )

Not a lot of singles action tomorrow although Liam v Jonny is 2nd match on court 2.

All other singles will play Tuesday - I presume

Evan/Luke and Jonny/Toby play their doubles as well.

Agreed - Luke had a very promising futures debut about 18 months ago with a SF appearance including a win over the then 2nd seed Sidorenko but seems to have struggled to build on that since.

I think it may only be Futures at Ramat Hasharon that have live scores but I was going to have a proper hunt later!

I think it's more than that - I remember scratching my head watching Oli lose in double quick time on local livescores to Koolhof at another Israeli location - Ashkelon - with missiles firing in from across the border. I'll look online too just in case I get lucky.
