So I guess a 5 setter against Andy takes away even Nadal's energy!

Or maybe Nadal is still unable to play properly against firepower.

I like Nadal a lot because of his fighting quality.however, he still just can't deal well with big-hitter on hard courts though I acknowledged his effort in improving his game.It was also a little bit weird that Nadal played listlessly in the Gonzo match. This certainly has to do with his tough match with andy which went short of 2 am in Melbourne's time

Yeah, he did look tired.
I think that Gonzalez would have won even if Nadal was fully fit. But not this easily for sure.

If only Andy had some firepower.

It was impressive from Gonzo today - I honestly didn't think he could keep up the level he showed against Hewitt and Blake yet he did. Rafa was pretty poor - I don't know how many short ball forehands he missed but it seemed a lot. Just a shame Andy couldn't have taken advantage in the last round - not that I think he could have beaten Gonzo today (I don't think he could have) but just that it shows the difference about what happens when you take your chances. Gonzalez seemed to break every game he had an opportunity to do so in - it obviously helps that you have the forehand that he does right enough.

The match against Andy clearly took something out Nadal - it was quite an emotional victory for Rafa, and there was all the hype before hand about the battle of the young guns and all that and who knows if that played a part as well. It was VERY impressive from Gonzalez today though.
