RE: Day 1 Auckland/Sydney

What a pity we didn't get a chance to bet on Guccione upsetting Rafa, because he did, through a retirement when Guccione was 6-5 up in the 1st set.

Minar, the player who shocked Boggo in QR2 is now through to R2 of the main draw, having beaten Srichaphan 6-2 3-0 ret.

Kuznetsova retired from her match too, so Rebound Ace is clearly intent on keeping its reputation as the easiest surface to injure yourself on.

i was thinking if you want, that i should set up the betting matches for each day. it looks like we only play the game every now and then but i dont blame you people who set up and updates the leaderboard since we are busy with other things.

so what do you think should i set up each day's betting matches? if so, shall i select certain matches or do all the matches? also, i did try to do one earlier but i did it on Word. is Excel much better? because when i tried to post the bets the lines were shown as well as misplaced alignments!

Also, if agreed, then i'll post early so people got more time and since theres a few weeks left down under, the bets have to be in no later than 10 o'clock GMT (outside Britain same conditions applies, except the time difference of course!)

that sounds really good Vik

Many thanks This will be good as often there've been days where I haven't been able to post the odds and so no bets have taken place.

it's best if you can post all the matches for most days as that gives us more choice on who we want to choose. However, that will probably be rather time-consuming for you for some days ! (eg rd1 of tournaments and the early rounds of slams, when there are loads of matches happening, so maybe for those days, post selected matches)

Yeah it's not been a good start to 2006 for Rafa. He's picked up a groin injury, might be a doubt for the Aussie Open. Depends how it responds to treatment over the next few days.

Does anyone know why so many players get injured on rebound ace ?
