I had thought that Max had beaten Andy last year but got Max and Hrbaty mixedup somehow ???
Anyway so Andy has won their only previous meeting last year at Nottingham 7-6(2) 6-4.
Andy plays another player much older...10 years this team....and can see the same type of result that he had today over Rochus. 6-1 6-2 for me in just over an hour
Mirnyi must be smarting, having gone out in R1 in the doubles, so he's going to be fresh, and this is going to be the most important thing for him this week. Also, his partner, Bjorkman, was just knocked out, so he'll be really wanting this one.
A quick observation re. his ranking: He had a fairly poor start to the year last year and only won 415 of his total 1,370 points before wimbledon. ~With his coach on board and lost of training miles under his belt, he might conceivably be top 10 before Wimbledon! Andy has already started quite well, and I'd be suprised if he went out early in the AO. Last year he did poorly in two big master series events in Indian Wells and Miami, this year we will be seeded which shouuld ease his path. Then it just remains to see what he can do on the dirt....
Looking at the OOP I tihnk its out of order that he's been schedules after Baghdatis/Soderling who don't have a doubles match to play and two matches after Youzhny who plays the Murrays in the doubles.
Surely Andy vs Beasty should be on second to allow him more recovery time???
The Youzhny/Ljubicic marathon is STILL not finished after nearly 3 hours (unless the start was delayed for some reason). Then there is Baggy/Soderling to play; at this rate Andy will barely have time to change courts to play his doubles.
Think I will go and do some chores, there is quite a while to go before Andy's match.

The Youzhny/Ljubicic match finished after 2hr53min. Soderling is currently leading Baggy 41 in the first set. I'd guess it's going to be at least an hour before Murray plays.

Aye, I didn't expect Soderling to give Baggy a doing like he is at the moment. I'm not a big fan of Soderling, but he's playing really well. If he can keep it up then Andy should be on court soon. Soderling is serving for the match - he's hardly dropped anything on serve so it should be a formality.
