I thought it might be nice to see if we have improved since the US Open at this game. So here are the final scores for everyone in the USgame who is playing again now:
Steven 330; Vonce 277; Drew 268; Imoen 264; Mkkreuk 240; Rob C 149.

Thanks for the scores Bethan - I obviously need to brush up on my knowledge of the Mahuts and Gicquels of this world. My record on the matches involving non-seeds (6/16) was so poor, that I would have done better to have used my cat's random pawing over the draw in my newspaper!
Steven 330; Vonce 277; Drew 268; Imoen 264; Mkkreuk 240; Rob C 149.
I think Alan Mackin's got more chance of winning the AO than I have of getting anywhere near 330 ever again! Thanks for the reminder of what fun it was during the summer though!

I'm 7-5 so far , but it could have been so much better - Rochus beat Guccione 9-7 in the 5th and Capdeville came back from 2 sets down to beat Benneteau in 5 -
I also had Berrer to beat Zverev, Lacko to beat Smeets and Mackin to beat Lapentti, none of which look like sensible picks now. The only consolation - I hadn't backed any of my 5 losers today to go any further than R2.
Backing Mackin now looks a bit like heart ruling head, it was very disappointing that Alan lost so easily in the end, and extended his 11 or 12-match losing streak (depending on how you count it) in ATP-level main draws. Still, he only extended that streak because he did so remarkably well to qualify.
I'm now tied 3-3 with the bookies in matches where I've gone against the odds - plus I got the one they had as too close, Berrer v Zverev, wrong too. I'm with them on all the remaining matches, except I went for Evil Kunitsyn to beat Nice Santoro.
In order to match my USO R1 performance, I need all 20 remaining R1 matches to go my way. Ad pigs might fly!

Sorry to say it, Steven, but I'm 10-2 up at the mo.... I'd had Benneteau beating Capdeville (Where on earth did that performance come from? Capdeville's been tootling around 130- 160 for 12 months now, making the odd South American/US challenger QF) and I'd not expected Smeets to carry on his Wildcard tournament winning form into the main draw...
Still plenty of time for Blake, Soderling or (please, no) Andy to totally mess me up and lose though.
I'm currently 9-4 I had Benneteau winning, but I did get Smeets to go through. Zverev, I don't like Similarly Nalby and Lapentti, who between them have mucked up my rd2 as well! (I had Alan getting to the third round - definitely heart over head!)

16-5 for me. I'm pretty happy with that. Really didn't expect Kohlschrieber to beat Vliegen though.
I'll update the scores after the day's play has finished. The way this is going that probably means it won't be updated until about 6pm GMT as I'm going out in about an hour so unless everyone retires/finishes in the next 45 mins or so...

For me, it was pride before a fall. I'd picked Soderling to reach the fourth round
Apart from that, Clement, Muller, Kuznetsov, Dancevic and Kohlschrieber have spoiled my party. So along with Smeets and Capdeville, I'm now 22 and 8, and not holding out much hope for Mirnyi & Seppi.....
Last match still not finished and I've got to go out, will do the scores as soon as I get back, I guess everyone knows pretty much where they are though...
