Guys can you email it to me please as I'm doing the scoring.

If you've already emailed to David don't worry, he'll forward them.

Plenty of shocks today - I've got more wrong already today than in the first two days of the USO.

Anyone backing the young Americans, Fleishman (shocked Calleri), Querrey (shocked Acasuso) and not-quite-so-young Delic will have done well today.

Ljubo has now gone out to Fish - Ljubo was one of my Q-finalists. Did anyone else have him going deep or getting knocked out in the first week?

I'm gutted.  I'd had my pen paused over Delic & querrey, but then told myself to be sensible. Ljubo going out is going to mess me up bad. The only ray of light was calling Lu to beat Greul

At least you considered the possibility of Querrey winning - I didn't! LOL

When I checked, I found I'd only differed with the bookies on four matches today - Melzer beating Karlovic and Mahut beating Monaco I got right, but I predicted Andreev to upset Spadea and got that wrong. If Dlouhy beats Gabashvili (currently 2 sets and a break up), I'll have beaten the bookies 3-1, but there have already been 8 'upset the odds' matches that I missed.

Well done for calling Lu to beat Greul!

- one of the benefits of doing the "Boggo's competitors" thread......

(on the other hand, I seem to get heads vs tails right roughly half the time too )

i've done pretty well i think. in the first quarter (so far) ive only missed out on three, incorrectly picking greul, bracciali and acasuso. Im pretty pleased with my delic pick but ive got bracciali going quite deep (another 2 rounds)
the second quarter isnt as good - ive lost 6 players from it.

Snap!

3 down from the 1st quarter (same as you except I didn't pick Bracciali but I did pick Simon to beat Delic - that one I did at least think about though!) and 6 down from the 2nd.

There's one section of 4 matches (Ljubo to Calleri - that's the last time I pick Calleri to get to R3, he's gone in in R1 both times! ) that all upset the odds. In that section, I got Mahut, but didn't get Fish, Arthurs or Fleishman.

I'm now hoping Dlouhy doesn't let Gabashvili come all the way back from 2-0 and a break down!

Dlouhy squandered at least 2 MPs and then lost another tiebreak!  2 sets all.

Hi all, and thank you David for the email about this competition, and Imoen for receiving the entries and presumably doing the scoring aswell.

oh dear, i had ljubo down to reach the semi's. so far i've got 4 wrong in the top quarter of the draw, and 5 wrong in the 2nd quarter.

hope andy does well, i've got him to beat nadal and then beat gonzalez before going out in the semi's.

By the way, i don't think I've posted it in here but the prize for the winner will be a Murray-Federer DVD.

No problem andyjmr We look to have had a good number of entrants I was a little worried yesterday but emailing most of the members seems to have worked.

Bethan's doing the scores so I just need to forward the emails I've received to her and then she can do the first day leaderboard after play has finished.

Dlouhy-Gabashvilli is 11-12 in the 5th

Unfortunately it was too late to enter by then but you can enter our daily predictions competition and be in the running to win an Aberdeen Cup program with Andy Murray and Greg Rusedski's autographs

Dlouhy is driving me nuts! 6-3 6-1 up after about an hour, he seemed to be cruising.

He then lost the 3rd set 7-5 in the tiebreak, had at least 2 match points in the 4th before losing that on the tiebreak too, threw away a double break in the 5th, broke again and served for the match but choked yet again ... he's about to serve for the match again at 13-12 in the 5th after 4.5 hours. Don't hold your breath!
