So Andy will not play doubles here with Jamie as planned....would think with Andy's blister and Jamie and booties sucess has paved the way for this change
Hmmm that's a bit of a mystery - if you look at Ian Flanagan's playing record, it's clear that week 4 of that Satellite was 20-24 Feb 2006, so the points should have gone on the rankings the following Monday. I've checked Flan's ranking history (just in case Satellite doubles points go on a week later than singles points, not that this would have made any sense either) and Flan's ranking seems to have changed in March too.
I'll get back to you on this one!

Now I remember! The Satellite points went on the published rankings a week too late last year, and it had some of us worried at the time - see http://simserver.dyndns.org/btz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1044 - someone eventually asked steveg about it - see http://www.stevegtennis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12838#p=12838 - and as far as he was concerned, it was an ATP mistake. Someone then suggested that this does happen sometimes and when it does, they usually issue an interim list to tournament organisers to ensure that players entering tournaments based on their ranking that week end up in the right place on the acceptance list.
So, it's now anyone's guess when the points will actually come off!

i just read on the supporting site that the court in San Jose is 50% faster than last year! why cant they stick to the same surface when in fact they trying to be bias in aiming for an American winner out of Blake/Roddick! I hope Murray prove the organisers wrong by defending his title!

looks like that one backfired, perfect courts for Karlovic and his game. oops!
Sorry any Blake fans, I'm not laughing at him, just the tournament organisers. Plus i like Karlovic, he's the real life BFG.

Still, it seems like they've taken steps to ensure that the Roddick-Murray semi goes the other way, this year.
A bit annoying, but I hope Andy can find a way through - the last two meetings, one in competition, one in exhibition, Roddick has seemed to cope much better with what Murray has thrown at him, and Murray hasn't taken a set in either of those two meetings.
Admittedly the competition match was Cincy 2006 when Murray was clearly exhausted after getting by Federer and then somehow squeaking past Ginepri.
And exhibition is only exhibition, never wise to read too much into that.
Still, I hope Murray can bring his big match temperament with him should he make the date with Roddick - he can win it.
Andy has the perfect game to beat Roddick - he just needs to be careful not to get lured into playing Roddick's game like he did in Cincy where Roddick basically goaded him into playing a way that suited him. I think with the way the courts are this year though that it would take something pretty drastic to happen to Roddick's serve for Andy to beat him here though. We could have a Roddick/Karlovic final - how exciting.
