Jade and Tara are in the main draw.

Jade is the tenth seed as of now, hopefully there will be two withdrawals and she will become one of the top eight seeds.

The first round was played on Christmas Day (!!!!), and it wasn't a happy one for the Brits.


Jade Curtis lost to Nazari Urbina (ranked about 570 ITF) 6-3 6-0. Tara Moore lost to Ioana Ivan (ranked about 90) 7-5 6-0.

Couldn't update this thread. Been so sick during the last four days that I couldn't even come near a computer.

Shame that the girls lost.

But the great news is that Tara is in the doubles semis. She defeated Jade and partner in the first round though.

They lost in straight sets to the second seeds in the semis.
