40-15, great point. Katie really played with Bally sending her right off the court, so Jamie came over to help and netted his own volley, to the sounds of moans and laughs from the crowd.
game.
3-3

2nd serve 0-30, Aucks/Bally exchanging cross-court. Jamie moves across too early, Aucks goes down the line, Bally can't get there in time (she is staying back)
15-30, someone went wide
30-30, a lucky net cord for Jamie, Aucks gets it back with a lucky net cord of his own, Jamie hits the passing winner down the line.
40-30, ace
game. Aucks' return wide. 4-3 Scotland. New balls.

Very well indeed, we all know what Andy's returns are like but quite often whilst he could read Aucks' serve he could only get it back in play and not attack it like he wanted.
Jamie's serving in the mens was also very impressive, he seemed to have quite a smooth serve action and was serving big, not neccessarily fast (hard to tell from the camera angles) but right in the corners and well placed.
I didn't notice what Bally and Katie were doing after serve, will let you know next game. Katie did seem to have the weaker serve, it doesn't go as deep into the service box as Bally's.
Jamie serving,
15-0
15-15, df.
game (was too busy answering USMs questions)
3-2
Apologies for asking so many questions, was inconsiderate of me
thanks for the info....yeah Jamie' serve doesn't have the raw power of Aucks' serve but he more than makes up for that with superb placement and the amount of spin he generates. It's really effective in doubles, in singles I'm told that opponent's are able to expose the lack of pace more particularly on slow courts, but Jamie is still very dangerous in singles on a fast surface. His favourite serve is the kicker out wide to the ad court with loads of topspin, taking the returner right out of court. Worked really well with the Flee as he'd then cross and thump the backhand volley away.

It's fine, ask away, I was only teasing. The serve out wide is defintely Jamie's fav, all the first four points of that last game were out wide, in fact that's why Aucks got the return winner as he moved to be ready for it.
Aucks serving:
15-0 30-0 30-15, Aucks fails to get the volley over the net, I think that was due to simple tiredness.
30-30, return winnner.
40-30, ace.
game. 5-5

It's really funny, every change of ends they play some music. Fine, except it's the start of a song so each change we get to her the first few bars of a new song!!
Katie serving
0-15,
15-15, great running intercept from Aucks, took Bally by surprise and she was passed.
30-15, bally nets and hangs her head back-it was a pretty bad net!
40-15, Jamie misses the return, does a few practise swings in the pause.
40-30, Aucks intercepts but clips the net and it falls back. He tries to kick it over instead and fails at that too!
game. short rally that England win. 6-6.
Tiebreak.
