I asked 'hows the ankle' - AM : 'is okay but these courts are dangerous (yes he said that) and not enough room at the back...i stood on one of the boards...not good'
Q - 'glad to have won' - AM 'yeah it was good but the fast courts make doubles harder to play...not many long rallies...rather it was more entertaining'
Q - 'do you thing the AC can continue next year' - AM 'yeah but things may have to change'
Q - 'like what' - AM 'ticket prices...too high...its hard to promote tennis is scotland and it costs alot to come here over £150 for a family including food etc....dont like the middle class image of tennis...really want to help change that'
i asked 'my local sports centre has mini-tennis for the first time...that is down to your sucess...is this whay you want to see more of...open courts for kids...?'
AM : 'absolutely...really want to help bring tennis to youngsters of all ages....hated seeing courts locked up at weekend when i was a kid... not good and i want to help change that'
After the PC......
Tom Maidment WSM Sports - promoters response to Andys comment that ticket prices are too high especially for kids.
"These types of events are not cheap and players are expensive so it is not easy just to lower prices"
Basically I think between Andy's camp and the promoters will have to get together to work out something for next year...maybe Andy will have to take less money along with the otehr players...thats what the press in here think anyway.
30-30, silly Aucks left a Jamie groundstroke which dropped in.
deuce, Ok. I completely missed a point there
ad Scot. And excellent volley from Jamie, Katie almost reached it but not quick enough.
deuce, return out.
ad England
game. Jamie nets return. 1-1
Aucks' serve is not firing at all at the moment, he barely got a first serve in. Both he and Jamie look quite tired, they haven't had much of a break, less than half and hour in fact.

Yeah, I bet they're tired especially after that long, draining mens doubles match. Must be harder for Aucks, having to raise himself for another doubles rubber, knowing that the cup is lost.
How did Aucks serve in the mens doubles ?
Fr om the sound of things, Jamie served extremely well, that's an area of his game which has improved immensly in the last 6 months. I think working with Louis Cayer helped a lot, on his returning aswell
Katie doesn't have anything like as big a serve as Elena and her 2nd serve is said to be a bit of a weakness. With the courts being so fast, I wonder if that'll prove to be a crucial factor as she won't be able to serve herself out of trouble like Elena can

Very well indeed, we all know what Andy's returns are like but quite often whilst he could read Aucks' serve he could only get it back in play and not attack it like he wanted.
Jamie's serving in the mens was also very impressive, he seemed to have quite a smooth serve action and was serving big, not neccessarily fast (hard to tell from the camera angles) but right in the corners and well placed.
I didn't notice what Bally and Katie were doing after serve, will let you know next game. Katie did seem to have the weaker serve, it doesn't go as deep into the service box as Bally's.
Jamie serving,
15-0
15-15, df.
game (was too busy answering USMs questions)
