"Really enjoyed the match...nice to play a competetive match and we both served well and played some really good shots and rallies"
i asked : The ATP stats show Andy as top 5 returner what can he do to become a top 5 server
"He might not have to get to top 5 but Gilbert bet Agassi that he could not do that...but Agassi won the bet and got to top 5 serve stats...Brad may have some scheme to get Andy to do the same"
Greg : The two keys for Andy to get into the top 10 are serve and keep his passion under control. He can do both. Top 10 in the next year is a possibility.
I asked : Rodger Draper from the LTA has spoken to you re a possible future role at the LTA whay could that be ?
Greg : "I really want to put something back into the sport and really enjoy working with the young kids. Was doing a tennis clinic this morning and I really enjoy working with the kids"
Greg looking forward to sunday and hope they can turn the tie around. He was very pleased with his game and loves Aberdeen and the crowd really showed him respect and he was very happy with the crowd.
"Was really surprised with how we both played...really served well and played some great stuff. After being off for a few weeks you expect to take some time to get into it but we both played well. I had 16 BP and in 3 sets only took 1 until the end"
"Im a bit tired was out of breath a couple of times but i came through okay"
"Going to the states right after this and will be working with Brad on fitness with lots of gym time...after that off to Bolleteri academy for work on strokes / serve staying until 22/23 december.
" The most important thing re this weekend is that the crowd get to see good quality tennis and close matches...the result is not too important".
I asked a question but he rambled on a bit and cannt remember what i asked

Greg got things underway with a very poor service game and handed the only break of serve in the first set to Murray. Murray made it 2-0 with an easy hold. both players upped their play over the next few games with ground strokes down both tram lines and a delightful lob over Murray's head by a spritely Rusedski. His official fan club where in the crowd and never stopped chanting for their man The average age of the members present must have been at least 72 !
Andy remained calm throughout the first set and he never looked threatend and took the first set 6-4. There was not a single deuce point in that first set which showed how well both were serving.
Set 2 and Andy started to play for the cameras and was getting increasingly grumpy as BP after BP went on the Greg serve. It was Greg who broke the Murray serve "against the run of play" as you would say in other less entertaining sports and he got himself out of jail again and again with good serves. His ace count wasnt high...in fact he served more double faults than aces from my recollection. Greg served out the 2nd set 6-3.
So to the 3rd set and by this time Andy was visibly out of breath at times and engaging in various shouts to to his 'mob' and stretching his back and re-doing his ankle strap....just part of the show ! Both were hitting some accurate ground strokes with Greg being tested more iften than not on serve but always getting back into things. He came back from 0-30 and 15-40 several times throughout the match and his good play kept things even at 4-4 final set. Andy held to love with an ace to lead 5-4.
Greg came out serving to stay in the match. It is 11.15pm and most of the crowd have stayed.
Greg go to 30-15 but with some good play from Andy it went to deuce. Ad Murray. Back to deuce with a great serve. Shot of the match from Andy backcourt forehand around the net to the intersection of the sideline and base line sets up MP no 2. Greg serves well again...deuce but Andy hits a fierce forehand winner and takes the match 6-4 3-6 6-4. Its 11.20pm.
Really good showing from both players. Not exhibition stuff.
