Gets back one smash on MP, but not the 2nd.

Mad Saffy tomorrow, should be entertaining.

Indeed. I'm off - goodnight, thanks for the comments.

thanks for the comments and scores, shame Andy couldn't beat Roddick. On the other hand, I'd rather he didn't meet Federer in an exhibition. The hype if he beat him would be unbearable just before a grand slam and the press/general backlash if he failed to beat him would similarly be bad just before a grand slam.

So, although I hate to see Andy beaten, I think this was the best result, and hopefully he can go out and stamp his authority over safin, revenge perhaps?...

With all that AOQ excitement, I forgot to check until now, but Andy beat mad Marat 7/6(2) 6/2 to finish 3rd in the Kooyong Classic!

Wish I'd remembered to watch it!

Duckboy beat Fed 6/2 3/6 6/3 in the Final, thereby ensuring that it won't be the American who wins the AO!

The only player ever to win both the Kooyong Classic and the AO in the same year was Agassi, who won it three of the four times that he went on to win the AO.
