Come on, Andy, break now for the set and then you will have the advantage of serving first in the next.

0-15 Murray's return is too hard and fast for Navarro to half volley accurately

15-15 Superb volleying from Navarro this time. Murray tries to go down the line but Navarro is to it quickly

15-30 Navarro stays back this time. And makes an UE

Murray goes down the line, it's called out. Murray CHALLENGES.....

BALL IS GOOD

15-40

Superb backhand lob

Set Murray 6-2

Superb commentary John

Sounds like Andy's playing some superb tennis so far. I hear that Navarro Pastor has a slightly strange service action, hitting the ball as soon as he throws it up - a kind of all-in-one motion ?

I was really pleased when I read that the Spaniard was serve-volleying, plays right into Andy's hands, he likes nothing better than a target at the net, his returning and passing shots are so good. I think Andy's only ever lost in 1 serve-volleyer, Henman in Bangkok

Murray serves first in 2nd set

15-0 Navarro returns into net

30-0 Powerful first serve good enough

40-0 Return is long. Navarro is getting down on himself a little here. Murray served at 75% of first serves in the first set.

Game Murray Murray unloads on a couple of forehands down the line. Navarro manages to get them back in play and even has Murray scrambling to the net, but the drop volley from Murray is good enough.

Murray 1-*0

Wow 75% 1st serves !!! That kind of stat was unheard of for Andy before Gilbert was hired. His serve stats have improved so much in the last few weeks, I wonder if playing so much doubles recently has also helped; as in doubles it's absolutely vital to get a high percentage of 1st serves in

15-0 UE from Andy

15-15 Good return from Andy forces Navarro to volley into net

30-15 Service winner. Andy takes a long hard look, but decides not to challenge, however the serve looked suspiciously long.

30-30 Murray very relaxed and in control of a fairly long rally. Puts a little extra on a crosscourt forehand and it's enough for the point.

30-40 Ridiculous return from Murray. Stretching outside the doubles alley he guides it back inside the line for a winner.

Deuce Service winner

Ad Navarro Murray tries his 3rd lob of the match. This one is long.

Game Navarro Murray keeps making Navarro come up with great volleys. This time he's up to the task and Murray's pass is wide.

Andy's really making Navarro work so hard for each service hold, only a matter of time before the break comes in this set

Correct UBF, Navarro is playing right into Andy's hands. You just can't live with Andy if you're gonna serve and volley every point.

15-0 Unbelievably bad call. Longest rally of the match ends with the umpire overruling a call by the line judge. Hawkeye showed the ball to be only just touching the line. THE INSIDE OF THE LINE! Point had to be replayed, and Andy won it anyway.

30-0 Murray makes another successful challenge. This time one of his shots is called long and Hawkeye shows it on the line. The point is replayed again and Navarro makes an UE.

40-0 Murray is forced to serve and volley here, he makes a drop volley which is pinged back across net by Navarro, forcing Murray to really scramble for it, which he does successfully.

Game Murray More serve and volley from Murray!! Puts away the volley at first attempt

Stats so far:

Murray: 1st serve: 66%, won 84% of 1st serve pts, 60% of 2nd serve pts. 1 ace and 1 df.

Navarro-Pastor: 4 aces, 2 dfs. 1st serve: 65%, won 62% of 1st serve pts and just 36% of 2nd serve pts.

Murray really hurting the Spaniard when he misses his first serve
