From his official site, Andy's post-match reaction:
"The match couldn’t have been closer - 51 points to 50. Had chances to win the first set - lot of break points which we didn’t convert. In all we had 9 break points but only converted 2. They had 2 break points - both in the first set - and managed to take both of them…
…We played a really good second set but made a bad start to the breaker and went 5-0 down. Got it back to 6-3 then got a dodgy call on what we thought was a double hit. The umpire thought different. Eventually lost it 10-4…"
Andy told the press afterwards: "Jamie played really well. He has improved so much in the last four months especially on serve and return. He's broken into the top 100 now – that was his target for the end of the year so I'm really pumped for him."

What was the tennis avatar of which you had just before the current one ?
I was there earlier in the year, during the winter; it isn't my best/favourite picture, but most of the pictures I have don't look too good when shrunk to an avatar size (not that the current picture looks fantastic). The tennis avatar I had for a short while was of my friends playing tennis about 3 years ago, and the only tennis related picture I have - which is funny, as whilst I don't play anymore, I must've spent about 100 hours playing in that summer alone... ah, those were the days!
looking at the blog on the ATP site from Ram and Erlich, they actually changed the order of play due to their religious reasons - Jewish festival of Yom Kippur in the evening!
annoying that didn't find out earlier but nice to see how respectful the tournament organisers were - having been to Thailand myself, really find the people there incredibly hospitable and courteous!
on another matter - mr Federer doing the blog this week so should be a good read!
