RE: Murray/Murray v Haggard/Kerr

In the final they face either top seeds Erlich and Ram [who Andy's faced twice before, both times in Davis Cup ties against Israel] or 3rd seeds Ashley Fischer and Tripp Phillips. This semi-final is later today.

Can someone tell me how many points there are for reaching a singles semi in Bangkok then I can work it out.

Andy'll definately be in the top 200 doubles

They'll get 120 points if they lose in the final, 175 points if they win the final.

These are the ranking stats:

Jamie's guaranteed to move up to 90 in the world Fantastic stuff !!
If they win the final he'll move up to 86.

What a week it's been for him, it's ensured that's he's now going to be a regular on the ATP tour and he'll be able to get direct entry into the Aussie Open doubles.

Andy's currently ranked 235 in doubles, he's guaranteed to move up to 160

If they win the final he'll move up to 133

Excellent for Jamie.

On top of that, if Auckland/Delgado lose today and the Murrays win tomorrow then Jamie would become our number 1 doubles player.

Andy after winning the semi-final:

"I don't play much doubles but this was a great opportunity to team up with my brother. He specialises in doubles so he is showing me the ropes and, so far, he has done a pretty good job. He is a great volleyer and I have pretty solid returns so we have managed to get some good wins and Jamie has broken into the top 100 doubles rankings for the first time."

I hope we don't start worrying too much about Andy's doubles ranking. After all, in entry for doubles events, you can take the higher of your doubles and singles rankings I believe... and we have to hope that his doubles ranking therefore remains an interesting curiosity....

That said, great stuff to see James and Jamie and Jamie progressing so well with their doubles rankings-can earn them serious cash alongside trying qualies at ATP singles.

I don't think we need to worry about his doubles ranking, he's able to use his singles ranking to enter tournaments and the more ATPs he plays with Jamie, the higher it will go to anyway.

The cash the three James' have earned this week will enable them to travel and play more ATPs which is great.
