Murray/Murray v Haggard/Kerr

Haggard and Kerr are names that I doubt many will have previously heard of, so here's information that I've found out about this pair:-

Haggard - 35 year old South African, but currently ranked 30 in doubles, with a career high of 19 achieved 3 years ago.  Excluding the US Open (where he reached the 3rd round), he's lost his previous 7 matches, although, only 6 of those were round 1, the other was a defeat in a final!  His YTD record before this week was 23-22.  He's not played a competitive singles match in over 8 years, and even when he was playing, he wasn't particularly prolific, reaching a career high of 223, 10 years ago.

Kerr - 26 year old Australian, who last played singles in 2003 where he lost in the 1st round of all 5 futures events entered.  In the doubles this year, he got put out of 2 of the grand slams by the Bryan twins, and in another by the 8th and 9th ranked players; in the remaining slam (Roland Garros) he went out in round 1 against Andy Murray and James Auckland in straight sets (2-6, 4-6).  His YTD record before this week was 7-22, which has caused his doubles ranking to fall from a career high of 37 in January, to 86.

Before this week, the pair last played together in February 2005.

The match is the first (and only) on Court 1 tomorrow with a 14:30 local time start, which is 08:30 in the UK.
